Our History
In 1916 the Henty Parish became a fully sanctioned charge. But prior to this ministry in the Henty area continued to operate. The first service in Henty was held on the 20th May 1894 in the paint room of the blacksmith's shop. Later services were held in the Public School until the Union church was built in 1915.
Our first inducted minister was Rev John Walker. As the parish grew, fellowship groups were formed at Mundawadra, Ryan and Yerong Creek. In 1935 the Foundation stone was laid for the new church building (our current building in Henty) and the building completed in 1936.

Centenary Celebrations - 2016
In 2016, we celebrated 100 years of being a fully sanctioned charge and 80 years of our current building in which we currently meet.
On the weekend of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd April 2016 we had a full weekend, starting with the 60th Debutant Ball on Friday night, a wonderful celebratory dinner on Saturday Night (with former minister Rev David Burke guest speaker) and a wonderful thanksgiving service on Sunday.
The Local paper run an article on our celebrations.
For our centenary we created the following items which are still available for sale:
(1) Centenary Tea-Towels which are available for purchase for $15 each. The design can be found here
(2) Our updated history book of the parish which is available for $20. A picture of the book can be found here.
