Coronavirus Updates

Update: 4th April 2020 10:10pm

We are struggling to get the video of the sermon to work due to the size of the file. We are trying different things so please be patient. We have uploaded the audio of the service from last week if you wish to listen.

Our service will be longer tomorrow than last week but please join us on-line at 10:30am (remember daylight saving finishes tonight!). If you have problems logging in please contact us!

Update: 23rd March 2020 6:30pm

Today it has been announced that religious gatherings and places of worship are to be closed. The exceptions are small weddings and funerals where various restrictions apply.

Therefore it is no longer possible to have small (or large) group meetings on church property.

We will work through the implications in the following days and advise accordingly.

As it was said at one church yesterday

“Remember that we are not a people without hope or without God, and we are certainly not a people without a community!”

Update: 20th March 2020 11:30pm

Government restrictions brought in today mean that non essential indoor gatherings of less than 100 people need to be in a space that is 4m squared per person. In other words if you have an area of 100m squared then you can have a maximum of 25 people in that area.

For us as a church, it means we will still be able to hold our Sunday worship services. Lockhart will be fine because of the size of the congregation. In Henty the church has been measured and it is roughly 200m squared. This equates to 50 people which is slightly above average attendance over the last month. If more than 50 people attend on Sunday we have plans to deal with this.

We therefore will proceed on Sunday as normal.
